PE, school sport and health and wellbeing

Leicester City School Sport & Physical Activity Network (SSPAN) works closely with all primary, secondary and special schools to develop opportunities in PE, Sport and Physical Activity for young people in the City. Your son/daughter will have already benefitted from this structure at primary school and will continue to be offered many sporting opportunities here at Crown Hills.

The SSPAN is based here at Crown Hills Community College and we work collectively to maximise the positive impact that high-quality PE, School Sport and Physical Activity can have on all young people aged 5-16.

Through the network, we deliver nationally funded initiatives, including the national ‘School Games’ and ‘PE & Sports Premium Funding’ all driven by government guidance on physical activity, health and competition.

Through our membership, we employ a dedicated team who are all passionate about the role of PE, school sport & physical activity and how this can be key in ensuring we have young people that enjoy and are inspired to achieve life-long health and wellbeing.

Our team consists of:

Sarah Lansdowne – PE & School Sports Development Manager

David Hayton-Hill – Health & Well-Being Development Officer

Brogan Jones – School Games Organiser

Sally Lines – Administrator

Stephanie Magee – PE & School Sport Champion
